OUR COLLECTIONS

The Modern Shaker.

A modern take on a 200-year-old tradition.

The flat recessed panel, the honest construction, the quiet order: all carried forward, with a narrower frame and a feel that belongs to now as much as it belongs to the home it sits within.

Considered, not reinvented.

Everything that made the original shaker door work is still here: the flat recessed panel, the honest joinery, the sense of order that comes from a design pared back to what matters. What's changed is the frame. Narrowed to around an inch, it lightens the whole cabinet without asking it to lose any of its character.

The result sits comfortably between the warmth of a traditional shaker and the restraint of something more contemporary, which is part of why it's one of the most versatile profiles we work with. Slimmer frames, bolder colour choices, and hardware that doesn't apologise for being contemporary: the Modern Shaker takes the core principles of the original and brings them forward, without breaking them.

Form still follows function. But the feel is of a kitchen, or a room, that belongs to now as much as it belongs to the home it sits within.

One profile, considered across the whole home.

The Modern Shaker isn't kept to the kitchen. Because the same profile carries through every piece we make, it works just as naturally in a bootroom or utility space, a fitted study or wardrobe, or a standalone piece of furniture elsewhere in the house. The frame stays proportionate, the panel stays flat, and the detailing stays consistent, so whichever room it's designed for, it reads as part of one considered interior rather than a kitchen style borrowed for other rooms.

Larders, wardrobes and freestanding furniture, shaped by the same design principles.

Colour, timber and hardware.

Like every collection we make, the Modern Shaker is available across our full range of materials and finishes, from painted timber to natural oak and walnut, with hardware chosen to sit with the frame rather than compete with it.
